Valuables

It must be understood that there is a possibility of damage, loss or theft of your property if brought to a large public space such as a school. We ask that children do not bring anything of great value or large sums of money into school. Anything else should be brought in only with parental permission and on the understanding that the school cannot replace it because there is no insurance for personal property. Mobile phones are not allowed in school.

Where it is necessary to bring items of value or money to school:

  • Make sure it is brought on the day concerned and taken home the same evening.
  • Leave any jewellery/valuables with the teacher in PE/games.
  • Take money for payments straight to the teacher or office, if possible please pay by cheque.
  • Never leave items in coat pockets/bags in the cloakroom.
  • All money should be in an envelope clearly marked with your child’s name, class and what the money is for.
Lost Property
All items of clothing and property should be clearly marked with the owner’s name. Lost property is collected and held in a box in the KS2 entrance. Any property not claimed is disposed of permanently at the end of each half term.

Security

All visitors must report to the office first to sign onto the premises. Badges will be issued to authorised people. Anyone on the premises not wearing an identification badge will be challenged by members of staff.

If your child is leaving school during the day, please do not forget to sign the early leavers book by the main entrance before you go. If your child arrives late, parents should take them to the main reception where they can be let in and sign the late register. External playground doors are locked once the children start school.
