Religious Education

Religious Education is a compulsory part of the school curriculum. It plays a vital part in the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of our children. The children follow a Religious Education Curriculum based on Staffordshire’s Agreed Syllabus. Parents have the right to withdraw their child from Religious Education but are requested to discuss this with the headteacher before so doing. Children at Little Aston Primary School will be involved in a daily act of collective worship.

Collective Worship

This offers the children the opportunity to explore and share beliefs and to reflect upon their own ideas and values. The children also participate in special ‘Achievement’ assemblies which present an opportunity to celebrate success and receive recognition for achievements in school. Parents have the right to withdraw their child from collective worship, but are requested to discuss this with the headteacher before so doing.
